 Speed Survey Image

The City of Calabasas Public Works Department will be implementing reduced speed limits citywide between April and May 2026. Based on a data-driven engineering and traffic analysis, many posted speed limits will be lowered by 5 to 10 miles per hour, depending on the roadway. This effort supports the City’s ongoing commitment to improving roadway safety for residents, visitors, and all road users.

In addition, select school zones will be reduced to 20 miles per hour when children are present. Motorists are also reminded that a 25 miles per hour school zone speed limit may apply even when signage is not present, in accordance with CVC § 22352.

Please follow posted signage at all times during this transition.
