Our aquatics facility is recognized as one of the most beautiful in Southern California. The Center features two pools:

Junior Olympic Pool – Heated year-round to a comfortable 81–83°, with lifeguards on duty 7 days a week.

Seasonal Instructional Pool – Designed for children under 6, open for swim lessons.

Children 3 years old and under are free and are required to wear a swim diaper at all times.

Our friendly, professional and qualified instructors provide swim lessons seasonally during the summer. Children learn water safety, basic swimming competency and progress through levels as they develop aquatic skills. All lessons are composed of small groups of 4 or 5 students and are approximately 25 minutes in length.

Level 1: Baby Pups & Parent Seals (6 Months-3 Years) Small Pool
Introduce your little one to the wonderful world of swimming through our Baby Pups and Parent Seals swim class. This class is designed for infants and toddlers between the ages of 6 months to 3 years old. The focus in this class is on building water comfort and teaching basic aquatic skills in a safe and fun environment. This course is designed alongside the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level 1 requirements and will teach:
- Water Safety through simple fun exercises designed to promote buoyancy and basic movements.
- Practice blowing bubbles, kicking and submerging faces safely.
- Gaining comfort in the water and developing positive associations with swimming.
The emphasis in this class is designing a fun, safe experience for all swimmers and their parents/guardians. There is no prior swimming experience required to enroll in this course.
Only one parent or guardian is allowed in the water with each student. To ensure the best possible environment for our participants, we recommend that parents/guardians do not crowd the pool area while the class is in session. This helps us prevent the swimmers from being distracted during instruction time.
All swimmers in this level are required to wear a swim diaper.
Level 2: Sea Horses (3-5 Years) Small Pool
Dive into more advanced swimming skills with our Sea Horses level swim class. This class is designed for children that are comfortable getting into the water and are ready to take the next step in their aquatic journey. This Level 2 class builds on the foundational and basic skills learned in Level 1 and focuses on developing independence and confidence in the water. Following closely with the American Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum, this class will have students:
- Learn basic stroke techniques for front crawl and backstroke
- Practice floating independently on their front and their back
- Build endurance with swimming independently
- Work on important water safety skills, such as entering and exiting the pool properly
- Gain confidence in the water and work on breath control
This course has a strong emphasis on skill development, water safety and building confidence in the aquatic environment. This course has a small instructor-to-student ratio and is designed to have each student get as much personalized attention as possible. This is the perfect class for young swimmers who are ready to learn to swim on their own and continue to develop their love for the water. As with all of our swim classes, we kindly recommend that parents allow their children to be free of distraction for the duration of the class and do not crowd the instruction pool.
Level 3: Sea Turtles (3-6 Years) Small Pool
Ready to take your students swimming skills to the next level? Our Sea Turtles swim class is designed for young swimmers who are ready to move forward towards refining their strokes, improving their endurance, and becoming more confident in deeper water. Our Sea Turtles course is designed in coordination with the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level 3 programming, and swimmers will:
- Refine their front crawl (free style) and backstroke, focusing on proper technique and breathing
- Learn and practice breaststroke and elementary backstroke
- Improve endurance by swimming longer distances to build stamina
- Work on treading water and jumping into the pool safely from the side of the pool
- Continue developing water safety skills and self-rescue techniques
This course is designed to provide a fun, structured environment where students can push themselves to be stronger, more skilled swimmers while building their confidence in the water. With a focus on technique, strength and safety, this course is perfect for students who are ready to swim with greater independence and prepare themselves for more advanced aquatic challenges. As with all of our swim classes, we kindly recommend that parents allow their children to be free of distraction for the duration of the class and do not crowd the instruction pool.
This course is designed to build on all programming from Level 2, swimmers should be able to do the following activities to be enrolled in this level:
- Perform basic stroke techniques for front crawl and backstroke
- Float independently on their front and their back
- Be able to swim independently for short periods of time
Level 4: Sting Rays (5-10 Years) Main Pool
The Sting Rays swim class is the perfect opportunity for swimmers to take their skills to new depths. This American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level 4 program marks the transition from the instructional pool to the main pool, where swimmers will have more space to refine their techniques and build endurance in deeper water. In this course, swimmers will focus on perfecting their strokes and increasing their swimming distances, while also learning more advanced skills like starts. This is the perfect class for students who are ready to swim with greater precision, control and endurance in a larger pool environment. In this course, swimmers will:
- Perfect the front crawl and backstroke, with an emphasis on technique, breathing and endurance
- Learn the breaststroke and begin to build proficiency utilizing it for longer distances
- Practice starting from the wall to improve efficiency in the water
- Gain confidence in deeper water and increase the distance they can swim with proper techniques
- Work on improving treading water, water safety and self-rescue skills.
The Sting Rays swim class is all about pushing your swimmers' skills to the next level. Swimmers will enjoy the excitement of using the big pool as they develop strength, endurance and confidence in the water. This class is deal for those students who are ready to take on more advanced swimming challenges and are ready to swim in the main pool.
This Level 4 course builds on from all of the programming covered in Level 3, as such all students must be able to complete the following before enrollment:
- Perform the front crawl (free style) and backstroke with proper technique and breathing
- Perform breaststroke and elementary backstroke at a basic level
- Swim medium distances independently without assistance from others
- Tread water for brief periods without assistance from others
Level 5: Barracudas (6-12 Years) Main Pool
The Barracuda swim class is designed for swimmers who are ready to fine-tune their techniques, swim with power, and develop advanced aquatic skills. In this Level 5 American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim class, swimmers will continue to build on everything they've learned so far and prepare for competitive swimming, all while gaining confidence and mastery in the water. In this course, students will focus on refining their strokes, improving efficiency and increasing their endurance over longer distances. This class is ideal for swimmers who want to develop the strength, speed and technique needed for more advanced aquatic challenges. In this course, students will:
- Perfect the front crawl (free style), backstroke and breaststroke, focusing on speed, endurance and technique
- Learn the basics of butterfly and work on mastering its timing and coordination
- Build stamina with longer distance swimming
- Practice flip turns and starts to improve efficiency in the pool
- Strengthen water safety skills, treading water and advanced self-rescue techniques
This class is for swimmers who are ready to take their skills to the highest level. With a focus on technique, endurance and performance, swimmers will continue to refine their abilities and get ready for competitive swimming in the future.
This Level 5 course builds on all the techniques learned in the Level 4 course, as such all students must be able to complete the following before enrollment:
- Perform the front crawl (free style) and backstroke, with good technique and breathing for at least one pool length (25 yards).
- Perform breaststroke at a basic level for a moderate distance
- Tread water in deeper water without assistance from others
- Be confident in deeper water and have practiced self-rescue techniques
Level 6: Great Whites (6-12 Years) Main Pool
The Great Whites swim class is the pinnacle of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program, designed for advanced swimmers who are ready to master their skills and take their swimming to an elite level. This Level 6 class focuses on refining technique, improving speed and endurance, and preparing swimmers for competitive swimming and lifelong aquatic fitness. In this course, swimmers will focus on fine-tuning all four competitive strokes, increasing their speed, and building strength through more intensive training. The emphasis will be on achieving proficiency in each stroke, perfecting starts and turns and increasing swimming endurance to handle long distances and challenging workouts. In this course, swimmers will:
- Master the front crawl (free style), backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly with an emphasis on technique, speed and efficiency
- Perfect flip turns and starts for competitive swimming
- Swim longer distances with a focus on endurance and maintaining proper technique
- Develop speed through interval training and high-intensity skill drills
- Build strength and conditioning throughout drills and workouts
- Refine water safety and self-rescue skills for any aquatic environment
The Great Whites Level 6 class is designed for swimmers who are ready to master swimming and push their abilities to the highest level. This course is designed to prepare students directly for our Bronze level Swim Team program.
This Level 6 course is designed to build on all of the skills taught during the Level 5 courses and below, as such all students must be able to complete the following before enrollment:
- Swim the front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke with near-perfect technique including breathing and stroke form
- Swim basic butterfly for at least one length of the pool (25-yards)
- Be able to do flip turns and race starts
- Have solid water safety skills and a basic understanding of self-rescue techniques
Lap swimming: Continuous swimming the length of the pool and back using a various swim strokes. The pool is a Jr. Olympic size pool which is 25 yards. Swimming is a remarkably effective workout because it combines three important types of exercise in one: aerobics, stretching, and strengthening. “Simply keeping yourself afloat activates the core muscles in your back and abdomen. During busy lap swim times, swimmers are required to share lanes.
Splitting the lane: During busy lap swim times, swimmers are required to share lanes. The correct etiquette prior to entering a lane, the second lap swimmer is to get the attention of the first swimmer in the lane and politely announce them entering the lane and designate which side each are swimming. 2 lap swimmers split the lane in half. 1 swimmer swims on the right side at all times, the 2nd swimmer swims on the left side at all times. There is no crossing over the middle of the lane.
Circle swimming: During busy lap swim times, swimmers are required to share lanes up to 3 swimmers. The proper etiquette on entering prior to entering a lane, the third+ lap swimmer is to get the attention of the two swimmers in the lane and politely announce them entering the lane and to let them know they will have to circle swim now. Circle swimming is for 3 or more lap swimmers, sharing 1 lane will always swim on the right hand side of the lane.
Extensive breathing/training is prohibited in this aquatic facility. There is a 2 breath minimum per 25 yards/1 length of the pool.
SWIM MATH: 1 WAY / 1 LENGTH = 1 LAP = 25 YARDS 70.4 LAPS = 1,760 YARDS = 1 MILE
General:
- Swim only when a lifeguard is on duty.
- Shower and use the restroom before entering the pool.
- Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult.
- Children under 3 years of age must wear swim diapers.
- Change in locker rooms or restrooms only.
- Inform lifeguard of medical conditions or recent surgeries.
- Non-swimmers must stay within arm’s reach of an adult.
- "Water wings" allowed only in shallow water with a parent or guardian.
- Proper swimwear required.
Prohibited:
- Alcohol in the facility.
- Swimming under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Cell phone use, photography, or video recording.
- Reserving or using equipment outside of scheduled classes.
- Personal weights or equipment in the pool area.
- Kickboards or pull buoys unless lap swimming.
- Removing pool equipment from the area.
- Rough play, pushing, running, or diving in shallow water (<9 ft).
- Throwing objects, water guns, inflatables, or rafts.
- Food or drink (except water in closed containers).
- Glass or sunflower seeds in the pool area.
- Inappropriate language, behavior, or swim attire.
- Harassment of guests or staff.
Our swim coach leads aquatic workouts for both beginner and intermediate levels. Our swim team does not participate in swim meets with other teams; we instead focus on preparing swimmers to compete for their schools and increase their aquatic abilities. Swimming may be an individual sport; however, junior swimmers will learn competitions, commitment, and be challenged in an inspirational social environment. Helping them become better swimmers and find swim team friends forever.

Bronze level
Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of freestyle & backstroke to join. These swimmers are considered a developmental group of young swimmers, ages 7-10 years. Bronze swimmers focus on building a strong foundation of the basics of swim technique for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and introduction to butterfly. Workouts will also include building and testing their endurance, improving on race times and sprints. Limited to 10 swimmers.

Silver level
Confident in all 4 strokes and continue to focus on building a strong foundation technique for all 4 strokes. Workouts include building and testing their endurance, improving on race times, sprints, and improving on race starts and turns.
Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30pm-5:15pm
Gold level: swimmers must be approved by coach
Must be confident in all 4 strokes, basic turns and race starts. Workouts include technique/drill sets, challenging endurance sets (more yardage), sprints, flip turn review and race starts.
Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:15pm-6:30pm
Platinum Level: swimmers must be approved by coach
Platinum Level swimmers must know all four strokes, basic turns, race starts and be familiar with using the swim pace clock. Workouts include longer drill sets and endurance sets with less rest time in between sets. Overall workout pace is more intense in yardage, challenge sets and rest times.
Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:15pm-6:30pm
Before every swim team session, the coach will hold an assessment day. Please bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles and swim cap. The coach will assess your swimmer and provide a registration form for the correct level.
Masters: 18+ years: Year-Round Program
Do you need to work on your technique? Build endurance? Do you need to be pushed? Workouts include drill sets, endurance sets and sprints! Workouts will be supervised by an on-deck coach. Intermediate fitness swimmers to advanced swimmers' welcome! Come by and pay the drop-in fee and try a workout! If you like the workout, register for the session.
Monday - Thursday 6:30pm-7:45pm
Private adult beginner swim lesson: 18+ years: Seasonal
This aquatic program is designed for one adult swimmer only. This class is for adults with absolutely no background in swimming and may have a slight fear or become nervous around the water.
Private adult intermediate lessons: 18+ years: Seasonal
This class is designed for one adult swimmer that is comfortable in the water and has basic swimming skills. Swimmers continue to build their confidence and endurance in the water, continue to learn and perfect basic swimming technique and complete beginner to intermediate workouts.
Water aerobics is beneficial to a multitude of participants because the density of the water allows easy mobility for those with arthritis, and other conditions. Further, it is an effective way for people of all ages to incorporate aerobics and muscle-strengthening into their weekly exercise schedule. People do not even have to be strong swimmers to participate in water aerobics.
We are fortunate to offer two varieties of water aerobics classes at our facility:
Aqua Fit: This class focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere with music. This is a weather dependent class. Check the aquatic or fitness schedule for class days and times.
Aqua Flow: A gentler approach to aqua aerobics. This warm and supportive environment promotes physical health and peace of mind. This low-impact class is designed to support mobility, strength, and overall fitness. All levels are welcome to join. This is a weather dependent class. Check aqua or fitness schedule for class days and times.
Lifeguarding (Blended Learning): 15+ years old
This program is designed for those who desire to earn their American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Participants will learn basic lifesaving skills including water rescues, CPR for The Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.
The pre-requisites for Lifeguard class are as follows:
- Swim 300 continuous yards, in a combination of freestyle (front crawl) and breaststroke.
- Tread water for two minutes without the aid of your arms
- Perform a brick test, composed of a 20-yard swim, surface dive to 10 feet and 20-yard swim back to the starting point within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
To pass the course, all participants must; attend all classes, complete their skills scenarios, and pass the written test.
W.S.I. (Water Safety Instructor): 17+ years old
This program is designed for those who desire to earn their American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification. The primary purpose is to help people learn to be safe when they are in, on, or near water. The program covers skills and knowledge in logical progression for aquatic skill development. As participants develop these skills, they will become safer and better swimmers.
All participants for this course must attend all days of instruction, as well as complete and pass all of the tests.
The pre-requisites for this course include:
- Swimming the front crawl (freestyle), back crawl (backstroke), breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke and butterfly for 25 yards at an intermediate level.
- Floating on your back without assistance for 60 seconds
- Treading water for 60 seconds
In the event that a participant is unable to complete the course, the individual will be given a non-passing grade, and a refund will unfortunately not be able to be issued. Participants are required to bring; a swimsuit, towel and change of clothes. Participants are recommended to also bring sunblock and a packed lunch.
Dive-In Movie Nights: A fun, family-friendly evening filled with music, activities, and a great movie by the pool.
$3 per person - Children 2 and under are free! Food will be available for purchase, seating is first-come first-serve.
