
Visitors are welcome to enjoy occasional recreational use of fields and courts at City of Calabasas parks. However, recurring activities, organized gatherings, team practices, and games require a permit in accordance with City of Calabasas Municipal Ordinance No. 2024-405.
The Multi-use Sport Court at Juan Bautista de Anza Park operates on a rotating schedule to accommodate various activities.
ORGANIZED SPORTS & PRIVATE INSTRUCTORS
The City of Calabasas requires prior authorization to use a City park or facility for the purpose of:
- Gatherings of 25 or more people, regardless of age
- Recurring activities, gatherings, team practices, or games
- Private instruction such as sports and fitness lessons, dog training, tennis lessons, yoga, and day camps
Regulatory laws are in place to minimize liability exposure, protect taxpayer assets, maintain accessibility for general use, and prevent commercial use of publicly funded properties.
