1The City of Calabasas proudly offers beautiful parks and facilities for general recreational use, City sponsored programs, and community events.  

WHEN IS PERMISSION REQUIRED AT A CALABASAS PARK?

  • Gatherings of 25 or more people, regardless of age
  • Use of inflatable equipment or mechanical attractions (e.g., bounce houses)
  • Recurring activities, gatherings, team practices, or games
  • On-site services such as taco carts, character appearances, or entertainers
  • Private instruction such as sports and fitness lessons, dog training, tennis lessons, yoga, and day camps
  • Filming or photography for commercial use

WHY IS PARK USE A LAW IN CALABASAS?

In 2024, the Calabasas City Council passed regulatory laws to minimize liability exposure, protect taxpayer assets, maintain accessibility for general use, and prevent the commercial use of publicly funded properties. WHAT IF I DON'T COMPLY? 

The City of Calabasas strives to provide safe and accessible park use for the general public to enjoy every day. We ask for your cooperation, however, non-compliance is subject to prosecution, fines, and in rare instances imprisonment.
