The City Council will be holding a discussion at its January 27th meeting regarding the possibility of changing the City’s Default Rate for all Clean Power Alliance (CPA) utility customers from the current 36% renewable rate per the attached informational flyer. The Council along with representatives from the CPA will be discussing the possibility of raising the City’s Default Rate, from the minimum 36% renewable rate the to 50% or 100%. Raising the Default Rate could increase the cost of your utility bill. Please be reminded that CPA customers have the option to opt up to higher rate or opt down or to opt out completely at any time.
The Council and CPA is encouraging interested parties to express their viewpoints at the January 27 City Council meeting via Zoom. Visit cityofcalabasas.com or cleanpoweralliance.org for additional information. Please contact John Bingham, Administrative Services Manager, jbingham@cityofcalabasas.com, should you have any questions regarding the upcoming discussion.
