Accepted Items:
TV, monitors, printers, copiers, computers, laptops, servers, network switch, routers, mixed cable, power tools, remote controls, keyboards, mice, plotters, cell phones, wired phones, cellphone and laptop batteries, media such as records, tapes, CDs and films.
Unaccepted Items: Light fixtures, vacuum cleaners, small appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers, freezers and refrigerators, alkaline batteries, light bulbs or fluorescent lamps or ballasts, etc.
This event is independently managed by California Recycles Inc.
To support residents in properly disposing of items year-round, the City offers and promotes a variety of free recycling programs.

National Night Out on August 4
You’re invited to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Calabasas Civic Center. This free, family-friendly event brings the community together with local first responders for an evening of games, music, food, and interactive activities. Explore law enforcement vehicles, connect with public safety partners, pick up valuable safety resources, and celebrate the strong partnership between law enforcement and the Calabasas community.

Chamber’s Mayoral Luncheon on August 27
Join the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce and City of Calabasas Mayor James R. Bozajian for the annual Mayoral Luncheon on Thursday, August 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Calabasas Country Club. Guests will enjoy lunch while hearing updates on the City, testing their knowledge with fun Calabasas trivia, and taking part in exciting giveaways. Chamber members and community guests are welcome to attend. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Registration closes Monday, August 24, at 5 p.m., and advance registration is required. PACE Program: Roof Replacement
A well-maintained roof improves energy efficiency, protects the home, and supports the installation of solar systems. Energy-efficient roofing materials and proper installation can reduce heat gain, lower cooling needs, and decrease overall energy use, especially during warmer months. Power Line Undergrounding Project Begins This August
Southern California Edison (SCE) will begin a targeted undergrounding project along approximately 2.5 miles of Cold Canyon Road this August as part of its ongoing wildfire mitigation efforts. By placing power lines underground, the project will improve electric reliability during high winds and storms while reducing wildfire risk. Construction is expected to continue through December 2026 and may include temporary road closures, traffic impacts, and scheduled power outages as work progresses. Residents can learn more about the project and what to expect during construction by visiting SCE's Targeted Undergrounding webpage or contacting the project team directly.

Explore Calabasas Hiking Program – Topanga Outlook Trail & Yoga Session
Start your Saturday morning with fresh air, scenic views, and great company at the Community Hike & Yoga on Saturday, August 1. Participants will meet at 5:30 a.m., with the hike beginning at 5:40 a.m. Enjoy a one-mile hike to the historic fire lookout station, take in stunning 360-degree views, and join an optional 45-minute yoga session before hiking back down. This free program is open to adults ages 18 and older and is limited to 15 participants.

Sunset Summer Concert Series – Gold Rush Country on August 2
Continue the 2026 Sunset Summer Concert Series at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, with Gold Rush Country. Kick off August with an evening of high-energy, feel-good contemporary country music at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center.

Sunset Summer Concert Series – Fantastic Diamond (Neil Diamond Tribute Band) on August 23

Enjoy an evening of family fun at Dive-In Movie Night: Jungle Cruise on Friday, August 14, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. Before the movie begins, guests can enjoy music, games, and prizes before settling in for a family-friendly film by the pool.

Games will take place Friday evenings at De Anza Park's multi-use sport court.
Fall Pickleball League
Registration opens August 19 for the Fall Pickleball League! The six-week season, plus playoffs, runs from October 4 through December 13 at Juan Bautista De Anza Park.

Adult Basketball League
Team Captain registration opened on July 27 for the Adult Basketball League at the Calabasas Community Center. The 5-on-5 league offers a Competitive Division on Thursday nights and a Competitive Recreation Division on Sunday nights.

Last Day of Summer Reading Program on August 2The Calabasas Library's Summer Reading Program is coming to a close! Sunday, August 2, is the last day for teens, adults, and families to log their reading in ReadSquared to qualify for prize drawings, and the final day for children to pick up their prizes.
