A Note on the Weekly Newsletter
Beginning next week, City Manager Kindon Meik will author the weekly newsletter. With the City's election period underway, this step keeps City communications clearly separate from the election process. The newsletter will continue on its regular Friday schedule with the same news, program updates, and community event information you receive now, and it will return to my authorship once that period concludes. E-Waste Collection Event on August 1stReminder: The next e-Waste Collection will be held on Saturday, August 1st, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Please note: Business waste will not be accepted.

Accepted Items
Televisions, monitors, printers, copiers, computers, laptops, servers, network switches, routers, mixed cables, power tools, remote controls, keyboards, mice, plotters, cell phones, wired phones, cellphone and laptop batteries, and media such as records, tapes, CDs, and film.
Unaccepted Items
Light fixtures, vacuum cleaners, small appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, alkaline batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent lamps, ballasts, and similar items.
This event is independently managed by California Recycles Inc. To support residents in properly disposing of items year-round, the City offers and promotes a variety of free recycling programs. Summer Concert Series: Gold Rush Country on August 2nd
The 2026 SunSets Summer Concert Series returns on Sunday, August 2nd, with Gold Rush Country taking the stage at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. Beginning at 6 p.m., the band will bring an evening of today's biggest country hits and classic favorites to the stage. Blending the showmanship of classic rock with the heart and energy of modern country, Gold Rush Country features dynamic male and female lead vocals, tight harmonies, and exceptional musicianship for a true concert experience. Admission is free for all ages. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic for a relaxing evening of live music with family and friends. The Last Day of the Summer Reading Program is August 2nd
The Calabasas Library's Summer Reading Program is coming to a close. Sunday, August 2nd, is the last day for teens, adults, and families to log their reading in ReadSquared to qualify for prize drawings, and the final day for children to pick up their prizes. National Night Out with LASD on August 4th
Join the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Calabasas Civic Center. This free, family-friendly event brings the community together with local first responders for an evening of games, music, food, and interactive activities. Explore law enforcement vehicles, connect with public safety partners, pick up valuable safety resources, and celebrate the strong partnership between law enforcement and the Calabasas community.
