City Hall Will Be Closed on Friday, July 3
In observance of Independence Day, the Calabasas City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 3. City Hall will reopen with regular hours on Monday, July 6.
E-Waste Collection Event on July 4
Reminder: The next e-Waste Collection will be held on Saturday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please note: Business waste will not be accepted.

Accepted Items: TV, monitors, printers, copiers, computers, laptops, servers, network switch, routers, mixed cable, power tools, remote controls, keyboards, mice, plotters, cell phones, wired phones, cellphone and laptop batteries, media such as records, tapes, CDs and films.
Unaccepted Items: Light fixtures, vacuum cleaners, small appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers, freezers and refrigerators, alkaline batteries, light bulbs or fluorescent lamps or ballasts, etc.
This event is independently managed by California Recycles Inc.

Used Oil and Water-Based Paint Round-Up on July 11
The next Used Oil and Water-Based Paint Round-Up will be held on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calabasas City Hall. This free, drive-up event provides residents with a convenient way to safely recycle items such as used motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze, latex paint, and car batteries. Open to Calabasas residents and neighboring communities, the program helps keep harmful materials out of landfills and storm drains while supporting a cleaner, healthier community. June 2 Primary Election Results
Voters across Los Angeles County participated in the June 2 Primary Election, helping shape the future of federal, state, and local leadership. While election officials continue to process and verify ballots, residents can view preliminary results and track the latest vote counts through the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's website. Final results will be certified following the completion of the official canvas. View preliminary results and track the latest vote counts.
Community Wildfire Protection Plan Approved on June 10
The Calabasas City Council officially adopted the Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) on June 10, marking an important milestone in the City’s ongoing wildfire preparedness efforts. Developed in partnership with the LA County Fire Department, local Fire Safe Councils, community organizations, and residents, the CWPP provides a roadmap for reducing wildfire risk through preparedness, defensible space, home hardening, evacuation readiness, public education, and long-term resilience strategies. Thank you to everyone who participated in workshops and provided feedback throughout the planning process. LA County Summer Lunch and Snack Programs for Youth
This summer, Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation and LA County Library are offering free Summer Lunch and Snack Programs for children and teens. These programs provide nutritious meals throughout the summer, helping ensure young people continue to have access to healthy food while school is out. Free lunches and snacks are available at participating parks and libraries across Los Angeles County, with no income requirements to participate. PACE Program- EV Charging Station Implementation
As electric vehicles become more common, home charging stations can add convenience and long-term value. PACE financing may be used for eligible EV charging installations, helping homeowners support cleaner transportation choices. Expanding access to EV charging helps reduce vehicle-related emissions and improve local air quality over time. Find out more about home EV charging station permits.
Online Education for E-Bike Riders
As e-bike use continues to grow and communities adapt to recently updated e-bike regulations, the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, and Westlake Village are partnering to promote safe and responsible riding through the E-Bike Academy. This online educational program helps riders better understand local rules, traffic laws, safety practices, and how to share trails and roadways respectfully with pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Whether you're new to e-bikes or a longtime rider, the E-Bike Academy offers valuable information to help keep our community safe.

49th Annual Lakeside Fun Run, Pet Show & Splash Party on July 4
Celebrate Independence Day with a morning of fitness, family fun, and patriotic festivities at the 49th Annual Lakeside Fun Run on Saturday, July 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants can enjoy a scenic run or walk along the greenbelts and pathways surrounding beautiful Calabasas Lake while taking in the community spirit of this long-standing holiday tradition.
The festivities continue with the Patriotic Pet Show at 11 a.m., where pet owners can dress up their furry friends and compete for awards including Most Patriotic, Best Trick, and Best of Show. Then, cool off at the Splash Party from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. with swimming, music, games, prizes, and more. Splash Party admission is free, but space is limited.

Sunset Summer Concert Series – Jumping Jack Flash on July 19
Continue the 2026 Sunset Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 19, with Jumping Jack Flash, a high-energy tribute to The Rolling Stones, at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. The free concert begins at 6 p.m. and promises an evening of classic rock, live entertainment, and summer fun under the stars. Known for getting audiences on their feet, singing along, and dancing to timeless hits, Jumping Jack Flash captures the raw energy and excitement that made The Rolling Stones one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic bands.

Listening Lounge/Open Mic on July 21
Enjoy an evening of diverse and vibrant local talent at the Calabasas Listening Lounge/Open Mic on Tuesday, July 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Center Amphitheater. Poets, storytellers, and musicians are invited to share their creativity in a welcoming community atmosphere. Dive-In Movie Night: Lilo & Stitch on July 24
Enjoy an evening of family fun at Dive-In Movie Night: Lilo & Stitch on Friday, July 24, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. Before the movie begins, guests can enjoy music, games, and prizes before settling in for a beloved family-friendly film by the pool. Admission is $5 per moviegoer, and children ages 2 and under are free.

Explore Calabasas Hiking Program – Parker Mesa Overlook Hike on July 11
Join the Explore Calabasas Hiking Program on Saturday, July 11, for a guided hike to Parker Mesa Overlook from Trippet Ranch in Topanga State Park. Participants will meet at 6:45 a.m., with the hike beginning promptly at 7 a.m. This moderate 6.8-mile hike features approximately 1,145 feet of elevation gain and offers a great opportunity to enjoy scenic views while connecting with fellow outdoor enthusiasts alongside hike guides Samantha and Don. Participation is free, but space is limited to 25 participants.

Please note that the parking lot does not open until 8 a.m.; street parking is available. Pre-registration is required, and all participants must be 18 years of age or older. Pets are not permitted on the hike. Participants should bring at least 2 liters of water, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, lip balm, bug spray, sturdy hiking shoes with good traction, any necessary emergency medications, and an optional hiking pole. Sports Leagues
MLS GO Youth Futsal League – Fall Season Registration Opens July 13The City’s Community Services Department is excited to launch the MLS GO Youth Futsal League this fall, offering a fun and engaging soccer experience for children ages 4–10. The season runs from September through November, with games held on Friday evenings at the De Anza Park Multi-Use Sport Court. Registration opens Monday, July 13, at 9 a.m., and the league fee is $180. The league features three age-based divisions designed to support player development at every skill level:
Little Legends (Ages 4–5): An introduction to futsal featuring 20 minutes of guided instruction and 20 minutes of gameplay each Friday. Teams are formed based on player/coach requests or school groupings.
Champs (Ages 6–7): Players participate in one weekly practice and one Friday game. Teams are formed based on player/coach requests or school groupings.
World Stars (Ages 8–10): A competitive division with skill-based team assignments. Players participate in evaluations, and teams are balanced based on skill level.
Registration includes an official MLS uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks), eight games, and officials’ fees. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Register here on July 13.

Join the Calabasas Library’s 2026 Online Summer Reading Program! Our theme is “Plant a Seed, Read” and it’s from June 30 through August 2. We will be signing up all ages at the front door of the library. Patrons can also sign up June 30 and afterwards from home with a link on the Library’s website at www.calabasaslibrary.org. The program also has an app available. Register, read books (audios and e-books count) and earn points to be entered into drawings for gift cards throughout the summer!
