Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the City of Calabasas
On April 5, 1991, Calabasas was officially incorporated as a city. This year, we are proud to mark 35 years of community, service, and growth. None of it would be possible without the residents, businesses, and volunteers who make Calabasas such a special place to live, work, and gather. Thank you for being the heart of this community. The City will be celebrating this milestone throughout the year with events and activities that honor everything that makes Calabasas home. Stay connected for updates and upcoming announcements as we celebrate together.

Measure K
Reminder: All-Mail Special Election on May 5, 2026
The Calabasas City Council has approved placing a locally controlled one-cent (1¢) sales tax measure on a May 5 all-mail ballot, allowing Calabasas voters to decide whether to adopt the measure.
If approved by voters, the measure would generate approximately $5.3 million annually to help maintain public safety, City services, and infrastructure. The measure would remain in effect until ended by voters and includes requirements for audits, public reporting, and local control of funds. Find background materials and official materials related to the May 5 all-mail special election at the link below.

Physical copies of the book are available to check out and be put on hold with a Calabasas Library card, and Comics Plus has an e-book available with no hold list. Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, a reminder that one of the leading causes of teen traffic fatalities is also entirely preventable. The City of Calabasas is proud to relaunch this important awareness campaign for a second year, originally introduced last April in collaboration with Calabasas High School students Lauren Weintraub and Isla Goldfarb. What began as a passion project has grown into a meaningful community effort to raise awareness and encourage safer habits behind the wheel. Stay tuned as we continue working together to drive change.
