This week, we close the books on a busy stretch of community engagement. The public comment period for our Community Wildfire Protection Plan wraps up, and we are grateful to every resident who weighed in. Your input will help shape a plan that reflects our community’s true needs.

Protect Your Home Before Fire Season
Spring is the right time to take a hard look at the vegetation around your home. Creating and maintaining defensible space is one of the most effective actions a homeowner can take to reduce wildfire risk, and it is something every Calabasas resident in a fire-hazard area should prioritize. Visit defensiblespace.org for a free, easy-to-follow guide covering what to clear, what to plant, and how to create a buffer zone around your home. The website walks through each zone step by step and is a practical starting point for any homeowner. Visit defensiblespace.org for a free, easy-to-follow guide.
City Updates
New Electric Mobility Device Ordinance
At its March 11th meeting, the City Council gave final approval for a new Electric Mobility Devices Ordinance, a sensible step toward making parks, trails, and sidewalks safer for everyone in our community. The ordinance establishes clear local rules for the use of electric bicycles, motorized scooters, and similar devices within Calabasas. For additional information about this ordinance, please refer to our New Electric Mobility Device Ordinance Powerpoint.
