Connect, Learn, and Thrive at the Calabasas Senior Center
The Calabasas Senior Center offers a welcoming environment where residents age 50 and older can gather, learn, and thrive.

On any given day, you will find neighbors taking fitness classes, exploring their creativity through art, receiving technology assistance, or enjoying casual conversation. The Senior Center offers educational workshops, social activities, trips, lectures, and special events throughout the year.

Whether you are looking to try something different, meet new people, or simply enjoy a sense of community, stop by the Calabasas Senior Center, explore what is offered, and make it part of your routine.

Get Involved: Youth Seasons of Service
The new year is a great time for young people to step outside their routines and find meaningful ways to give back. The City’s Seasons of Service (S.O.S) program invites local youth to roll up their sleeves and participate in hands-on volunteer projects that strengthen our community and build lifelong skills.

Throughout the year, participants work alongside friends and neighbors to support programs and learn what it takes to create special events. Along the way, youth gain valuable leadership experience, earn community service hours, and develop a deeper connection to Calabasas and the people who call it home.

Glow Lagree Ribbon Cutting – January 11

Join the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming Glow Lagree, a fitness studio and one of the City’s newest businesses, to our community.  The event will take place on Sunday, January 11, at noon at Glow Lagree, 4937 Las Virgenes Road, Suite 202.

Stop by and help celebrate the addition of this new business to Calabasas!

City Council Meeting – January 14
Attend and participate in the next Calabasas City Council meeting on Wednesday, January 14, at 7 p.m., where our City Council will discuss upcoming items of business and hear directly from the community.

Council meetings present a valuable opportunity to learn more about local issues, share feedback, and stay engaged in the decisions shaping our City. Your participation helps ensure transparency and strengthens the connection between the City and its residents.

Participate in the 2026 Homeless Count – January 20
The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) will hold its annual Homeless Count for Calabasas and surrounding areas on Tuesday, January 20, at 8 p.m., with volunteers gathering at the Calabasas Senior Center.

Volunteers will be deployed in small teams to canvass designated areas by car and record observations. The time commitment is approximately three hours.

Emergency Preparedness FRS Radio Distribution – January 24
The City of Calabasas, in partnership with EPIC-FSC (Emergency Preparedness in Calabasas – A Fire Safe Council), will host a free Family Radio Service (FRS) radio distribution event on Saturday, January 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Calabasas Community Center.

Radios are available at no cost to residents and businesses located within Calabasas evacuation zones CAL-C401–CAL-C415.

To request a radio, residents must complete the request form on the EPIC-FSC website. Eligible participants will receive an invitation to schedule a pickup appointment.

These radios provide an important way to stay connected during emergencies, especially when power or cell service is unavailable. 

Calabasas Chamber of Commerce Installation Gala – January 31
The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Installation Gala on Saturday, January 31, from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Calabasas Country Club. The evening includes the installation of the Chamber’s new Board of Directors, along with awards and recognition.

Guests will enjoy dinner, live music, and casino-style gaming as the Chamber reflects on the past year and looks ahead.
