The
Los Angeles Sheriff's Department - Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station,
in conjunction with the California Office of Traffic Safety, is
participating in the "Click it or Ticket" National Mobilization
Campaign. The period of May 16 - June 5, 2005 has been selected as
the time for a national mobilization in the United States.
The goal is to increase seat belt usage
statewide and to get the word out for everyone to buckle up their seat
belts and to make sure their children are properly seat belted or in a
proper child safety seat.
Malibu/Lost Hills Station will be
mobilizing personnel during this 21 day campaign via extra patrols and
by conducting stationary traffic enforcement actions at all hours to
remind drivers and passengers to wear their seat belts.
These extra patrols and stationary traffic
enforcement actions will take place in our contract cities of Westlake
Village, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Malibu.
If you would like additional information,
please contact Detective Richard A. Curry, Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff
Station, Traffic Investigations at (818) 878-1808 x3063. |
