The Brandon's Village grand opening celebration
was held on October 28, 2006 at Gates Canyon Park in Calabasas.
The ceremony included an official ribbon cutting, activities for
children on hand, and entertainment. A record donation of $1,000,000
from the Friedman Charitable Trust funded the construction of the
universally accessible playground. Brandon’s Village is the only
universally accessible playground in the region and will serve over 5,000
special needs children from Calabasas and the surrounding communities.
