NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. - Adoption of Resolution No. 2016-1534, revising the citywide fee schedule and approving an ongoing change to the rates in the schedule in accordance with the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustment for Los Angeles County.
Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. - A proposed new cosmetics firm headquarters seeking permission to occupy 97,000 square-feet of an existing 227,741 square-foot office building located at 4500 Park Granada, within the Commercial, Office (CO) Zoning District: (1) Introduction of Ordinance No. 2016-343 to amend Chapter 17.11, Table 2.2 of the Calabasas Municipal Code (CMC) to allow “Research and Development” as a conditionally permitted use in the Commercial Office (CO) zone, accessory to a primary office use, provided that such use does not exceed ten percent of the total building floor area; and, (2) Consideration of File No. 160002778, a request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow for accessory research and development and customer training and education uses in association with a primary office use, and an Administrative Plan Review to allow operation of a 250 square-foot retail store accessory to a primary office use. Because the project will not add any new building area, nor substantially alter the use of the existing building, staff has determined that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15061(B)(3), 15301, and 15303 of the CEQA Guidelines. At a public hearing held on October 20, 2016, the Planning Commission recommended approval of this project via adoption of Planning Commission Resolution No. 2016-628.
Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. - A request for an Administrative Plan Review and Scenic Corridor Permit to construct: 1) a 5,383 square-foot single-family residence; 2) a 2,378 square-foot garage; 3) a 511-foot long driveway; 4) swimming pool and associated equipment; 5) 1,815 square-feet of patio covers; and, 6) associated retaining walls. Also requested is an Oak Tree Permit to allow the encroachment into the protected zone of 13 oak trees and to remove one oak tree. The project is located on a legal lot, approximately 4.5 acres (195,644 square feet) in area, located at 23614 Dry Canyon Cold Creek Road within the Hillside Mountainous (HM) zoning district and within the Mulholland Highway Scenic Corridor (SC) overlay. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. - A request for a Site Plan Review to construct a 1,566 square-foot, two-story single-family residence with an attached 455 square-foot garage on a vacant lot located at 3536 Mesquite Drive (APN: 2072-007-049), within the Rural Community (RC) zoning district and Calabasas Highlands (CH) overlay zone.
