Calabasas Sewer Upgrade Project (a Los Angeles County project)
August 2012
Calabasas Sewer Upgrade Project – School Year Preparation
(pdf)
The County administered Calabasas Sewer Upgrade Project has
experienced some delays and work is expected to continue through mid
to late September. With the school year upon us, restrictions have
been put on the contractor’s working hours to minimize impact on the
peak hour traffic. Also, much of the construction work has shifted
over to the street shoulders leaving both directions of traffic open
and discontinuing the use of a pilot car. Although both
directions are open to traffic some delays can still be expected
within the construction zone, especially between the hours of 9:00
a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thank you for your patience during the completion
of this project.

July 2012
The County of Los
Angeles has prepared construction drawings to replace the sewer
force main and construct a new gravity sewer line within Mulholland
Highway from the northern City limits (close to Mulholland Drive) to
Eddingham Avenue. The proposed improvements will replace the
existing system that has been operating in its current configuration
since approximately the early 1990’s.
The County’s
contractor will be working on-site from approximately July 9 to
about mid-August, 2012. Some construction related traffic delays may occur
during the course of the work.

concerns, please contact Colin McCater with the County at (626)
