June 2012
The 2012 Annual Citywide Resurfacing Project
includes road resurfacing in the Deer Springs community. The project
will use Asphalt Rubberized Hot Mix (ARHM), which is proven to be
very effective in residential areas. ARHM elongates the lifespan of
roads and provides a suitable surface for cars to drive on. Some
benefits of ARHM are: increased elasticity and resilience at high
temperatures; improved durability; improved resistance to
fatigue/reflection cracking due to higher binder contents; and
significant reduction in traffic noise. |
