 Calabasas currently budgets
$250,000 to support PFA/PFCs in Calabasas Schools. The City provides each
elementary school with a grant of $12,000, each middle school with a grant
of $17,000, and Calabasas High School receives $24,000.
Calabasas also makes per capita grants to every Title 1 student in Calabasas
schools. Upon annexation of Mountain View Estates, Round Meadow Elementary
School would become eligible to enter the grant program. Please note
that these grants go directly to the fundraising efforts of the PFA/PFCs and
not to the school district.
The City also contributes on a
per capita basis to the Las Virgenes Unified School District technology
initiative. Our contribution last year was approximately $224,000.
