From noon on, be sure to visit The Commons at Calabasas. Enjoy live music and lunch or dinner before or after heading to Founders Hall. Participating retailers and restaurants including Blush, Magnolia, Wink, Fresh Brothers, Marmalade Cafe, Johnny Rockets, Menchies and Rosti will be giving a percentage of their sales to the Literally Healing Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Just reference "Literally Healing" or "Book Drive" when visiting one of these retailers or restaurants. (Applies to December 2 only).

Come by Founders Hall (behind the Calabasas Library) to listen to guest readers, make crafts, play games, enjoy live music, get a face painting and see miniature therapy horses!

Attendees will be able to select NEW books from the CHLA "Wish List" and purchase on site. For health reasons, only NEW books can be accepted.

"FAMILY DAY" ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5!

Bring your new and emerging reader (grades K-3) to the Library to share in a unique reading program. Therapy dogs, trained through Paws for Healing, will sit (or lie) and listen as your child experiences the joy of reading aloud. The program runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with sign-ups beginning at 11:00 a.m. Each child will have fifteen minutes to read to a dog.

Don Randi & Quest will perform a LIVE concert at The Commons Stage! Following the concert, stop in Barnes & Noble for an in-store book signing!

Come in to Barnes & Noble for story times and guest readers throughout the afternoon. Beloved children's author, Elisabeth Wolf will be bringing Lulu in La La Land to life! Enjoy special crafts and fun activities with volunteer helpers from local Brownie and Girl Scout troops.

Enjoy the annual Tree Lighting at The Commons on Tuesday, December 8 and the Menorah Lighting on Wednesday, December 9. Close out your evening with crafts and cocoa at Barnes and Noble.
