Calabasas Reads:
Join the Calabasas Library in October for a series of events honoring the America Classic -
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby!


2nd Thursday Book Club:
Flappers and Philosophies.
Thursday, October 13th at 6pm

The book club will have a reader symposium which includes discussion, displays, music and media slices of early 1920s popular culture.


Film Fanatics Movie Group:
Wednesday, October 19th at 6pm

The Film Fanatics Movie Group will show the movie from 1974. Before the movie, a speaker will do a short presentation on the 1920’s era and fashions. 

Patrons may bring their dinner.

Rated PG and 143 minutes.


Celebrate the Roaring 20’s in style!
Thursday, October 27th at 6pm

Step back in time to the Library Speakeasy for
refreshments, festivities and fun! Join us for a
swanky evening as Walter Nelson and
Sheila Murphy-Nelson provide live music
and dance instruction from the 1920’s.
Period costumes are encouraged.

Don’t miss this party - The joint will be jumping!


Throughout the month, there will be a fundraiser for the Friends of the Calabasas Library. For a donation, you can get a chance to win a basket of 1920’s themed goodies!
