4th Annual Literally Healing Reading Festival to be Held
Wednesday, December 6 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Books have the power to heal--sometimes literally. Now you can be a hometown hero and make a difference in the life of a child at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

The 4th Annual Literally Healing Reading Festival will take place Wednesday, December 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Founders Hall in the Calabasas Library at 200 Civic Center Way and includes a book drive to collect books for patients at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and their families to help them through the difficult process of having a child in the hospital. The book drive was started in 2014 by Calabasas resident Mary Solis and her family, who learned about the healing power of books after their son Joshua underwent surgery for a genetic bone disorder called multiple hereditary exostoses. The Solis family wants to continue to help children and families facing a variety of health challenges.

The festival will feature a raffle, readers from the community, music, therapy horses, crafts, and a video booth.
