The 2nd Annual Reading Festival in Support of Literally Healing Starts Tomorrow!

The Literally Healing Program uses books to lift the spirits of patients and their families with a dedicated therapeutic library with more than 1,000 specially selected titles designed to help children build mastery, courage and hope during their stay at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Now you can support this effort by participating in the week-long 2nd Annual Reading Festival beginning tomorrow, December 2.

Beginning tomorrow at noon, come to the Commons and shop at local businesses who will donate a portion of their sales when you mention "Literally Healing" or "Book Drive."

Then, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., come by Founders Hall (behind the Calabasas Library) to make crafts, play games, enjoy live music, get a face painting and see miniature therapy horses! You'll also have the chance to meet celebrity guest readers like Wendy Braun, Josh Coxx, Taye Diggs, Lisa Loeb, Jerry O'Connell, Benjamin & Matthew Royer, and more!

Throughout the rest of the week:

Share reading with a therapy dog through Paws for Healing!

See Don Randi & Quest live in concert at the Commons!

Visit Barnes and Noble for story time and guest readers!

Enjoy the annual Tree Lighting and Menorah Lighting Ceremonies at the Commons, followed by crafts and cocoa at Barnes and Noble!

Have a great time with your family and support a worthwhile cause!
