BARNES & NOBLE BOOK FAIR BENEFITTING THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL L.A.

BARNES & NOBLE LITERALLY HEALING BOOK FAIR TO COLLECT BOOKS FOR THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF LOS ANGELES WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19

Stop by Barnes & Noble at the The Calabasas Commons for a special Book Drive on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Share the Thanksgiving spirit by helping kids and families facing difficult medical issues.

In addition to special guest readers, exciting entertainment, and great food, there will be an opportunity to donate new books and gift cards for the Literally Healing Book Program at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. This program is an innovative reading program dedicated to literacy and its importance to children’s success. The program gives children more than 30,000 books annually. In addition to promoting literacy, the program supports and strengthens patient families by providing books to both the Therapeutic Library and the Gifting Library of the hospital. Through the program, patients and patient families are able to have access to books addressing the sensitive issues they face daily by their illnesses, as well as getting to enjoy everyday children’s books like their peers outside of the hospital.

There will be fun activities all afternoon and into the evening, so be sure to stop in!
