Lost Hills Interchange Improvement Project -- FULL STREET AND ON/OFF RAMPS CLOSURES THIS WEEKEND, 10/27/17 through 10/30/17

This weekend there will be closures of the southbound on and off-ramps and a portion of Lost Hills Road from the northbound ramps up to Agoura Road as part of the Lost Hills Interchange Improvement Project.

The closure will be effective commencing on Friday, October 27th, 2017 at 9:00 pm. The roadway and ramps will be fully opened for traffic on Monday, October 30th, at 5:00 am.

Because the work is an acceleration of several stages, pedestrian access may or may not be completed by Monday morning. The plan is for it to be completed by the end of the week. If the dates and/or duration of the closure are modified, the City will notify residents, community members and general public.

This work is temporary and the City is coordinating, to the best of its abilities, to minimize any inconveniences. Please use the detour signs and avoid any/all construction zones when possible.

During this closure, the contractor will be working on the intersection of the southbound ramps and Lost Hills Road to complete the roadway's structural section and to install new traffic signals.

The northbound ramps that provide access to and from the Saratoga Hills/Saratoga Ranch communities and the Calabasas Landfill will be open. The only access to the Saratoga Hills/Ranch communities will be via the northbound off-ramp, and the only exit during this weekend will be by the northbound on-ramp.

The revised Canwood Street and new bridge may be opened to traffic at some point Sunday night. Signals at the southbound ramps will be on red flash until they are connected Monday morning. The Canwood Street/Lost Hills Road intersection will be with marked with STOP signs.

The detour signs for closure of the southbound ramps will be placed approaching the Las Virgenes Road freeway exit in the northbound direction and approaching the Liberty Canyon Road freeway exit in the southbound direction.

The work completed during the weekend closure, will expedite and bring new grades to the area south of the bridge up to Agoura Road. After this work is completed, both directions of traffic on Lost Hills Road will be transferred to the new bridge and the contractor will commence work on removal and demolition of the old bridge.
