Community Meeting for the Gates Canyon Regional Stormwater Project is November 2

Join us at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center (27040 Malibu Hills Rd.) on Thursday, November 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a Community Meeting to discuss the Gates Canyon Park Stormwater Project which features the construction of new drainage infrastructure to capture and treat stormwater. The project will divert approximately 1,150,000 gallons of stormwater into a pre-treatment system before being conveyed to a cistern below Gates Canyon Park.

Water stored within the cistern will be further treated before used to irrigate the park or pumped into infiltration wells. With each new rain event, the cistern will be drained for groundwater recharge allowing for the capture and treatment of additional stormwater.

Community Benefits and Collaboration Opportunities:

Improve stormwater quality;
Expand water supply;
Reduce use of reclaimed water;
Provide for a healthier environment;
Up-to-date drainage infrastructure;
Ensure sustainable environmental future.
