Writer and Historian Julie Ream to Address the Calabasas-Las Virgenes Historical Society Thursday, October 26 at Noon!

This coming Thursday at noon, come to the Calabasas Library to hear a fascinating lecture from Julie Ream!

Julie Ream is a writer, historian and involved in many ventures, including working with many museums around the United States, assisting in their Western preservation endeavors. Julie will speak about her famous family, including her grandfather, Taylor "Cactus Mack" McPeters who was a cowboy, stuntman, musician, and actor. He sang with and worked as a sidekick to both Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

She will also talk about their lives, homes, movie studios and film locales in and around the area.

All proceeds and monetary donations collected go to the Historical Society for continued historical preservation efforts and education.
