CALABASAS WELCOMES SPECIAL OLYMPICS TORCH RUN THIS FRIDAY

    

This Friday July 17, the Flame of Hope, the official torch for the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015, will be carried through Calabasas on the Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg, with a ceremony to be held at Calabasas City Hall at approximately 10:45 a.m. Scheduled to speak at the ceremony are Calabasas Mayor Lucy Martin, Captain Patrick Davoren of Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station, and Special Olympic athletes and Final Leg runners Stefano Lucarelli and Joshua Norris.

The event is FREE and the public is invited to come cheer on these inspirational athletes!

The athletes will run from the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center to the Calabasas Civic Center along Park Sorrento, Park Granada, Calabasas Road, and Civic Center Way. Traffic and parking restrictions will be in force along the route.
