CHAMPION CALABASAS HIGH BOYS
BASKETBALL TEAM PLAYS FIRST-ROUND
STATE TOURNAMENT GAME TONIGHT

Coming off of their exciting CIF 3AA
championship game win, the Calabasas
High boys’ basketball team will host
Bakersfield’s Frontier High tonight
at 7 p.m. in the first round of the
CIF State Basketball Championship
tournament.
The Coyotes (27-3) are seeded No. 3
heading into tonight’s game. Last
Thursday, Calabasas bested South
High of Torrance 69-39 en route to
the Coyotes first-ever CIF division
championship. The Coyotes outscored
South High 25-2 in the first quarter
alone.
The team has dedicated tonight’s
game and the entire season to
assistant coach Joe Frazier, who was
struck by a hit-and-run driver on
Aug. 25 while riding his motorcycle
and remains in a coma.
CTV - The Calabasas Channel had an
opportunity to visit with the team
earlier in the week as they
practiced for the big game.
City Spotlight – CHS Basketball
Tickets to the game will be
available at the door, $5 for
students with ID cards and $9 for
general admission.
