FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVITIES
There are many exciting activities planned for this year's 4th of July celebration in Calabasas culminating with a fireworks display after dusk.  Following is a list of the planned activities:

Lakeside Fun Run
A Calabasas tradition, the annual Lakeside Fun Run will kick off the day’s events.  Get up early and put those jogging shoes on for a friendly competition with your neighbors.  The Lakeside Fun Run will take place at the Calabasas Lake, located behind the
Tennis & Swim Center, from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.  Family members of all ages are welcome to participate.  There will be a 4 mile run, a 2 mile run, a 2 mile walk, a ½ mile kids race and a ¼ mile kids race.  Please call (818) 222-2782 as soon as possible to register for this very popular event.

PET SHOW
After you get your morning exercise at the Lakeside Fun Run, join fellow pet lovers at the Greenbelt adjacent to the Tennis & Swim Center
for the annual Pet Show.  Any and all pets are welcome and will surely love the extra attention on this hot and exciting day so get creative!  Ribbons will be awarded in several categories.  Call (818) 222-2782 for more information.

SUMMER SPLASH PARTY
What better way is there to celebrate the Fourth of July than with some good old-fashioned family fun at a poolside barbecue?  Come over to the
Tennis & Swim Center after a hot morning of festivities to cool off in the pool.  The event will take place from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and will include games (in the water and on land), DJ music, barbecue food, free endless swimming, and free use of tennis courts.  Please call (818) 222-2782 if you have any questions.

FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR
Reserve your tickets now for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular because this is the day's most popular event.  The fireworks will light up the night sky at
Calabasas High School after performances by entertainers varying from circus acts to The Swag Band, which will play live music from the 1960s-the present.  There will be a "Kid Zone" with crafts, games, Uncle Sam, bubbles & more!  The fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m., but get there early because doors open at 5 p.m.  Picnic items are welcome, but please no bottles or alcohol.  Barbecue food will be available for sale on site.  Pets are not allowed to come to the Fireworks Spectacular.  If you have a pet that you will be leaving at home, please read this advice from the Humane Society on pets and fireworks.  Ticket sales begin June 2 and are sold on a first come, first serve basis.  The entrance fee is $10 per person, and children under 2 enter for free.  Again, be sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible because this popular event typically sells out by mid-June and there are NO ON-SITE TICKET SALES AVAILABLE - NO EXCEPTIONS.  Don't miss out on this fun-filled event.
