Calabasas in spring.

SIXTH ANNUAL ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL |
 |
The Calabasas Arts Council will
host its 6th annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival on
Saturday and Sunday May 3rd and 4th from 10:00AM
- 6:00PM. Over 200 artists and craft artisans will be featured in
this year's festival
along with music, delicious food, children's art activities, a beer
garden and more! Admission is free and there is plenty of free
and easy parking. The festival will be held on Park
Sorrento, next to the Commons.

4th OF
JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR |
It's
time to pack up those winter sweaters and start preparing for the
warmer days of summertime! The City of Calabasas staff is already hard
at work planning the annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at
Calabasas High School, scheduled for Friday July 4, 2003. This year's
event promises to be fun for the entire family with live music from
Midnight Train and a cutting edge performance by Mad Chad the Extreme
Juggler. Immediately following the festivities, we will kick off a
fireworks display which has earned the reputation of "SPECTACULAR".
Tickets will be on sale
starting June 2, 2003 at the following locations:
Calabasas City Hall,
Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center,
Calabasas Chamber of Commerce,
De Anza Park, Creekside
Park. Tickets

The new Calabasas
Lagoon Swim School is now accepting registration for spring and summer
swim classes at the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center. Classes
are available for children and adults at all levels.

TRAFFIC CALMING |
WOULD YOU LIKE
TO CALM TRAFFIC DOWN IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY'S UPCOMING TRAFFIC CALMING WORKSHOPS
EVERY 4TH TUESDAY AT CITY HALL.
The City's Traffic and Transportation
Division will be holding public workshops to address traffic concerns
in residential areas throughout the city. The workshops will be held
at City Hall at 6:00PM every 4th Tuesday of the month beginning April
22, 2003. The workshops will focus on each of the twelve regions of
Calabasas, one region per workshop. The following schedule shows when
each region will be addressed. Please review the schedule and region
map and mark your calendar to attend the workshop for your community.
You really can help calm traffic in your neighborhood, you just need
to participate. For more information call the Calabasas Traffic
Department at (818)878-4225.
