DISASTER
MANAGEMENT
Operational Area B
The
County of Los Angeles is broken down into 8 operational areas. The cities
of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Lancaster, Malibu, Palmdale, Santa
Clarita, Westlake Village constitute Disaster Management Area B and work
closely with the LA County Office of Emergency Services.
This group meets on a monthly basis and is responsible for:

Creating and updating emergency, terrorism, recovery volunteer, debris
management and hazard mitigation plans.

Training for emergency and disaster preparedness for cities, residents and
businesses.

Grants Program
The
Joint Powers
Agreement for Area B provides for inter-agency cooperation in major natural
or man-made disasters. |
