Ethics
in America employs the Socratic method
to build analytic skills and think through ethical dilemmas. With content
drawn from literature, the Bible, European tradition, and contemporary
American problems, this series aims to sharpen moral reasoning without
trying to persuade you to adopt a particular position. As we Americans
enter the 21st century we seem to have lost our sense of
community. This loss has left many of us asking the most fundamental of
all ethical questions: Who are my neighbors and what do I owe them? This
ten-part series dissects some of the hard choices that we face when we
make our decisions. Peter Jennings, Mike Wallace, Gerladine Ferraro, Newt
Gingrich, and Antonin Scalia are among those featured as guests on the
program. Ethics in America is an Annenberg PBS series.
