The City of Calabasas held a “topping out” ceremony on Tuesday, August 7,
2007 at the new Civic Center construction site. “Topping out” is a term used
by iron- workers to indicate the project has reached its maximum height. It
is a significant construction milestone. Council members and
Commissioners joined construction staff and crew in commemorating the
placement of the final, and highest, piece of steel.
