The City is sad to learn that Avalon has elected to end their affordable housing program within our City. While the letter sent to the affected residents directs inquiries to the City, we have no role or responsibilities for these affordable units, which were created through issuance of tax exempt bonds by Los Angeles County. As such, your questions should be re-directed to Ms. Jewel Warren-Reed at the Los Angeles County Department of Housing (626)-262-4510. Additional resources for affected tenants can be obtained by contacting The Housing Rights center (info@housingrightscenter.org or www.housingrightscenter.org).

There are limited affordable units at several housing complexes in the City of Calabasas. Inquiries regarding the availability of those units must be made directly to those properties:
