Permits by Fax
(818) 878-4208
Licensed
Contractors and Homeowners are now able to fax a permit application
for certain projects and receive a permit, within the same working
day, by coming into Building & Safety at City Hall. We will have your
permit ready when you walk in. Just hand us a check or cash and
you’re ready to go. In order to do this:
-
Print the
Fax Permit
Application and Fee
Worksheet
-
Fill in all
pertinent information, including whether you’ll be paying by check
or cash.
-
Return all
three pages via fax at the above number (the application form must
be completed entirely and legibly).
-
No permit can
be issued without Workers Compensation coverage verification. This
requirement does not apply to a contractor that does not have
employees.
APPLICATIONS
WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR:
-
Installation
or replacement of furnaces or HVAC units in existing dwellings.
-
Repair or
replacement of gas, water or sewer lines.
-
Replacement of
water heaters and plumbing fixtures.
-
Minor
electrical work (i.e. additional outlets, lights, etc.) for
Residential only.
Please
remember! An application for a permit is not a permit!
Do not
start work until you have received your permit. You may be
responsible for penalty fees if you start work before the permit is
issued. Having a faxed permit application that is in process will not
exempt you from these penalty fees.
