Accessing Property Information

Members of the public can use the following sources of information to find out a particular property’s zoning district, land use designation, Assessor’s Parcel Number, and more. For parcels located within the City of Calabasas, the zoning district and land use designation for that property can then be researched within the City’s General Plan and Development Code to determine what development standards and land uses apply to that particular property.

*Please Note: Maps obtained via Community View™ are intended for general information purposes only, and may be inaccurate. Persons seeking exact zoning information about any property should visit the Planning Division and consult with staff.

Calabasas Properties (Community View™)

The Community View™ GIS application allows users to locate and view a property’s land use information (such as the zoning and Assessor Parcel Number for that property) on any parcel located within the boundaries of the City of Calabasas.

LA County Properties (Parcel Viewer)

LA County’s Office of the Assessor has created the Parcel Viewer GIS application which allows users to find LA County Assessor’s information for all properties contained within LA County (which includes those within the City of Calabasas itself).

Calabasas: Zoning Map

The Zoning Map is a graphic depiction of the boundaries for which a certain set of land use standards or regulations have been adopted by the City of Calabasas. The zoning map provides a visual reference for the public to identify what zoning district a property is located within. Land is divided into zone districts established in Article II of the Municipal Code which describes the intent and regulations of each particular zone category. A typical zone district will set forth regulations for permitted land uses, density, building height limits, and lot standards such as setbacks, lot size, etc.

Calabasas: Land Use Map

The Land Use Map is a graphic representation of the physical uses of the land, showing both current land use and plans for future land use, as determined by the General Plan. For each land use, a description of appropriate uses is provided along with a definition of the maximum allowable intensity that may be permitted.
